While writing Lost in Ireland I saw the story was starting to drag on. That’s why I ask: does anybody know of an experienced beta-reader for Thomas out there?
Edit: I guess I could split it into parts. Might actually make it flow easier.

The Great Race Humanized
No, this doesn’t mean making all the engines humans: with the exceptions of the internationals that aren’t Flying Scotsman, they would still be engines. However, I’ve recently come up with the idea that The Great Race would be better if it focused more on people. Not the Fat Controller but completely original people.
Gordon and Thomas would still have major roles, but would take a backseat to the protagonist. This actually works better as Thomas won’t be needing to learn a lesson he already learned and Gordon can show more of his soft side.
